Feeder protection - Completely protect distribution of loop and radial circuits, including time overcurrent, directional overcurrent, autoreclose, under/overvoltage, frequency and more.

Electric arc attenuation - Greater personal safety with the possibility of electric arc detection (optional). The SEL-751A provides combined light and high-speed overcurrent detection for arc flash events. This combination is the ideal solution between speed and security.

Automation and Control - Use the SEL-751A on feeders and offer more protection, automation and control, all in a single package. SELogic control equations compatible with various automated applications without the need for additional automation controllers. Configurable front panel buttons can replace conventional controls and simplify overall applications and wiring.

Event analysis - Perform post-event analysis more effectively with the detailed event logs available in the SEL-751A. Combine oscillographic and digital information to find the root cause. Add one of the Satellite Synchronized Clocks (SEL-2401 or SEL-2407) to cross-reference event information provided by the various devices.

Situational awareness - Increase situational awareness and asset utilization with IEEE C37.118 synchrophasor measurement. Combine information from system-wide synchrophasors to understand system trends, make decisions based on measurements rather than estimates, and to assist with post-event analysis.

Reliable protection in harsh environments - The SEL-751A operates in extreme conditions, with an operating temperature of –40° to +85°C (–40° to +185°F) and is designed and tested to exceed applicable standards, including vibration, electromagnetic compatibility, and adverse environmental conditions. Additionally, the SEL-751A is ATEX and Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Class I, Division 2 certified for use in hazardous and potentially explosive environments.
